Back to Auld Lang Syne

by

Working hard on piano literature from early 19th centuries(including J.S.Bach and his pupil). Today I took some time to visit some contemporary work as well as a unfinished work of art. During last year’s master class, I practice a piece called “Auld Lang Syne”. There  are several comments. One of them is the lyrics and how to subdivide the meters in a “creative” way. Today I go to youtube and find the lyrics and had to work on it today.

“Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never bought to mind, should auld acquaintance brought to mind, should auld acquaintance be forgot, and days of auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we’ll take a cup of kindness yet for auld lang syne”
